Cincinnati at MINNESOTA (-135)

By Chris Jordan, Featured Handicapper

The Hornets got run out of the building last night.

It's been a rough start to the NBA postseason, but now that the play-in tournament is over and done with, I am confident I can settle in with these first round matchups and do so damage.

My free play is the Twins to stop their slide at 2 games with the win over the Reds this afternoon at Target Field.

The Reds took last night's opener, 2-1, but they also used their bullpen plenty - almost 4 innings - in holding on for the win.

That will be a problem this afternoon because Cincy starter Andrew Abbott is off to a poor 0-2 start with a 5.85 ERA. His last start was 7 runs allowed in only 3 innings!

Minnesota sends Taj Bradley to the mound, and the numbers show a decisive advantage. Bradley is 3-0 with a 1.25 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 21.2 innings, allowing just a .229 opponent batting average and averaging over five innings per start.

The Twins bats had been raking until last night's quiet evening at the dish.

Look for them to heat up again against the suspect Abbott.
